general thoughtsy-woughtsy on this ablum
its important to bring up that ive never really been someone whos into arrangements on the siiva channel, i used to be actually comically very against it years ago, but i think part of this might just be because to this day ive not been the biggest fan of the kfad event for various reasons (not that i dislike it, its just not my thing really)
over the years though ive warmed up to them, a large part because sgfr handles arranges a lot better in my opinion, and while i still vastly prefer regular rips on the channel by a wide margin, sgfr at this point has very much established a deserved and welcomed place on the channel's operations, for the better, but even still though, with sgfr projects i tend to tune them out a bit as i watch the channel since im not an arrangement person, and it would require me being EXTREMELY into the topic to be into them, and well, i do in fact like rips and have stated that i vastly prefer regular rips even with my larger appreciation for arrangement projects on siiva
enter rip2, an entire album of just arrangements of past rips on the channel, new and old, covering not just the super duper popular rips, but also many rips that probably dont have a lot of high view counts to start with, an album clearly made out of love for the siiva channel, with not a single arrangement being a miss (not even the 2 second nutshack arrangement, it cant be a miss becuase its the best track on the album)
you can imagine any past bias i had toward arrangement projects didnt even apply here with all of this in mind, and watching these arranges all come out one by one over the past week was a wonderful experience, it was a new treat every single day what with the multiple thumbnails, variety of season representation and arrangement styles, and basically every rip covered in these were given the best possible justice possible
plus it warmed me up a lot to see one of my arrangements were covered too (RIAMU YUMEMI NUMBER ONE SUPER IDOL TAKEOVER MEDLEY), as i usually just. assume with stuff like this that stuff i make will never be covered haha, not that i like. inherently think my stuff is bad, but i usually dont assume or expect something i make will be part of something like this so whenever it does actually happen its a genuine surprise (and also makes me feel good cause it reminds me people actually like my rips for some reason)
overall, a perfect album, and easily the best sgfr album to date, and i feel like it wont really be topped anytime soon honestly, i dont know how you'd do it even lol, the only reason i dont consider it the best siiva album in general is literally only because i have an obvious preference for rips lol, its still 10/10 tho
